Creating a dramatic & refined online presence for my own design studio
Proxima is my own studio: creative direction, end-to-end website builds, SEO and copywriting for UK businesses, all from one specialist instead of an agency. This is its home on the web, the one project where the client and the designer were the same person.

The mark
The wordmark carries the whole thing: a confident PROXIMA with a four-point star in place of the O, the sort of small idea that holds up on a favicon, a footer and a business card alike. Deep red against soft silk sets the mood for everything around it.

Services and proof
The services read less like a menu and more like one offer: creative direction, the full website build, SEO, and the words to carry it. Beside them sit the numbers that back it up, one specialist on every brief from first call to launch, and a short form so a new project has somewhere to start.

The brief was simple: my own site had to be the best work in the studio.
Built to be seen
The case for working with Proxima sits in one tidy grid: premium results without agency overheads, direct access to the specialist, and a fast, conversion-minded build. It is the pitch I would make on a first call, laid out so a busy founder can take it in at a glance.

Showing the working
A studio that sells SEO and copywriting has to show its working. The journal is where I write properly about the craft, from designing for dental practices to the web trends I am actually using this year, and where the site quietly earns its search visibility one honest post at a time.

On every screen
It is built mobile-first in Next.js and Tailwind, with smooth scrolling and gentle motion throughout. The deep burgundy and the big serif hold their nerve in your hand just as well as on a wide screen, so the studio looks like itself wherever you find it.
