Creating a confident online presence for an independent London law firm

This is a concept piece for an independent London law firm with a fierce, dedicated team and strong connections worldwide, built to give a firm of that calibre an online presence to match, as open and no-nonsense as the advice it is known for.

A self-initiated concept redesign, not commissioned work. The firm is a genuinely successful, independent London practice with the Google reviews to prove it, let down by a dated site, so I reimagined it to show how trust is won through design and experience.

Plain from the start

Most firms open with their own history. This one opens with what you actually get: specialist lawyers, clear answers in plain language, and advice built around you. The page leads with that promise, so what matters to a client is the first thing they read, not the last.

02

In good company

Recognisable names do quiet, persuasive work. A simple wall of clients, familiar faces from music, hospitality and beyond, shows a first-time visitor that serious people already trust this team. It is one of the first things you meet on a phone, and the layout holds its shape down to the smallest screen.

The brief was simple: make the website feel as human as the team behind it.

03

Sharing what they know

A modern firm earns trust by being useful, not just available. The insights section gives the lawyers room to write plainly about what clients are genuinely worried about, from AI governance to a data ruling that changes the next audit, in a reading layout that feels current rather than stuffy.

04

On every screen

It is built mobile-first in Next.js and Tailwind, with smooth scrolling and gentle motion throughout. The same warm, confident tone holds whether a client lands on their phone between meetings or on a wide screen at their desk.
