I taught myself web design while studying, and it quickly became the thing I cared about most. My master's in Data Science and AI gives me an edge here, I understand how AI works, so I use it as a tool to build faster rather than letting it do the thinking and design decisions.

I design and build the whole site myself, handling every stage of the work, so nothing gets lost being passed between a designer and a developer. SEO is part of the plan from the start rather than added on at the end, which means the way a site is built and the way it ranks are decided together, not patched up afterwards.

Mostly I just don't like websites that look the same as everyone else's. So much of the web runs on the same handful of templates, and you can usually tell within seconds. I would rather start from the brand and design something that feels like it, then make sure it is fast and easy to find once it is live. A site should look like it belongs to the people it is for, not like it could belong to anyone.
